The Robotics Engineering Technology program at Politeknik Negeri Batam is an applied bachelor's degree program established in 2018. This program is centered around developing students' robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) competencies. Students who enroll in this program will gain a profound understanding of robotic technology and the applications of artificial intelligence in various contexts.

The Robotics Engineering Technology (Bachelor of Applied Science) Program at Politeknik Negeri Batam has been granted international accreditation by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET, retroactively effective from October 1, 2023 until September 30, 2029. The result of the 2024–2025 accreditation cycle confirms that the program meets ABET’s global standards for engineering technology education, with no deficiencies, weaknesses, or concerns identified, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to contribute to the fields of robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing at both national and international levels.
The Robotics Engineering Technology Program (Bachelor of Applied Science) at Politeknik Negeri Batam has been awarded an “Unggul / Excellent” accreditation rating with a score of 366 by the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Study Programs (LAM Teknik), as stated in Decree Number 0698/SK/LAM Teknik/VST/VIII/2025. This accreditation is valid from August 14, 2025, until August 20, 2030, affirming the program’s strong commitment to academic quality and national higher education standards.
